The Illinois Disability Services Needs Assessment - 2008
The Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) of Illinois contracted with the Survey Research Office, located within the Center for State Policy and Leadership, of the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS/SRO) to conduct relevant surveys of Illinois residents with disabilities as part of the Council's efforts to update its Statewide Needs Analysis. Two kinds of surveys were conducted, one focusing on consumers of statewide independent living centers across Illinois, and the other focusing on a random sample of Illinois residents who either have household or close family members 11 who have a disability.
